  • Meet Your Porchfest Team

Welcome to Alameda Porchfest 2026! It takes many parts to make the whole thing work and here are some of the team members who are currently making things happen.

    ”Ozzy”

Joseph “Ozzy” Osborne is a local Japanese-American musician, philanthropist, and educator. He is a generational musician, multi-instrumentalist conductor and composer who is also the founder and director of Ozzy’s Music Academy. He plays in a number of folk, contemporary and jazz-fusion ensembles in the Bay Area. You can catch him at Eli’s Mile High Club, the San Francisco Maritime Festival. You can catch him at McGees on the first and third Mondays at his acoustic Americana/Sea Chanty/Folk jam session.

    Edwina

Edwina Maye Phillips is an Irish-Filipino local who came to Alameda in the 60’s when her dad was in the Navy. When she’s not playing in one of her bands (Knotsür, Nine Inch Nail Polish, Pretty Frankenstein, and Crone Era -fka- Raging Glitter), Edwina is writing music, writing books (two of her books can be found at Books Inc. in Alameda), or teaching free self-defense seminars to at-risk groups.

And sometimes she plays dress-up to help others:

A lifelong musician who began performing and producing shows in her hometown of Woodstock, NY at age 16, Spyce has spent decades producing shows and building creative communities, from founding the women-led production company Crazy Dame in Providence, Rhode Island, to fronting the East Bay band StarStrut. Today, she’s proud to call Alameda home and is continually inspired by the city’s vibrant artistic spirit and the people who make it such a special place.

As a founding member of the Alameda Music Council, Spyce is excited to help grow Alameda Porchfest and create more opportunities for neighbors to connect through live music. She believes music has the power to strengthen communities, spark meaningful connections, and make Alameda an even more vibrant place to live.
